My Mission: No Bullshit

Well I started a blog; it seemed like the next logical step in this process that I'm getting myself into. I suppose next is to find someone to help me build a real website but I need to content to put onto it first. And probably some sort of plan. I have no plan yet.

Anyway...

I have been spending some time thinking about what I actually want to do with this (my Facebook page, a blog, a website, a desire to help as many people as I can) and I've been trying to think about what niche I would really be the most effective in. Currently, and in the past, I have worked with a pretty wide range of people. I started by training friends at the BSU Rec Center (and got kicked out) then got a job training at the YMCA where I did a lot of younger Sports Performance classes while training a few regular clients. Through my grad program I trained Division I athletes while working with soccer Moms as a CrossFit coach in the evenings. Now I train about 50/50 weight loss clients and rehab clients (people with knee or hip replacements, bad backs, post surgery and post Physical Therapy) which, in total, gives me a decent amount of variability and experience with different clients. I find this to be beneficial because I can work with just about anyone that needs help, but I also know that I need to be more specialized in social media areas like this if I really want to make  an impact. I'd rather put out a lot of good information about one singular topic and build a flowing of people who are interested in that than post constantly about different areas and never really make much of an impact on anyone. All things considered I think I came up with an answer for myself.

In this day and age there is such a tremendous amount of information on health and fitness on the interwebs. Some of it is great but most of it is bullshit. It's to the point where most people legitimately have no idea what to believe. There's so much crap about detox teas, 20 minute thigh gap workouts, and 800 calorie diets that  people's ideas of what is actually effective is totally skewed. Plus, most of that information seems to stem from one area that is the biggest perpetrator and also most important for most people; weight loss. After a lot of thought, I decided that this is where I should focus most of my attention. Sorting through all of that crap and finding the stuff that works so that you don't have to. I want to be your go-to source for things that are actually going to help you reach your goals and I think most people really do need help with weight loss. Sure, I could probably post some effective information on how to increase your vertical or add 20lbs to your snatch PR but there is already a ton of reliable sources out there for that information. Fat loss seems to be the one that is surrounded by the most crap.

How many calories should you eat each day? Check my page. What workouts actually help burn fat? Check my page. What role do supplements actually play in weight loss? Check my page. It'll all be on there at one time or another. If not then just ask me, I like talking to people. Now, I'm not saying that I think I'm the smartest person to ever hit the fitness world, I know I'm not, but I'm kinda smart and I have the ability and resources to find the information that is actually going to work and I'm going to save you a lot of effort.

This is just the beginning. I have a lot of big ideas and I want to find the ways to help the most amount of people possible so stay tuned. If you know right now that you need some help then reach out to me. Shoot me a message or text me if you have my number, those are probably the best ways to reach me. I'll have details for you then.

Best of luck and thank you  to anyone who took the time to read this!
